Tuesday, 16 March 2010 13:59

Welcome Mikael McDaniel, the new social commiittee leader!  Remember, the social committee can always use your help!

The new social committee met last night to fill 1300+ eggs and to discuss a schedule for 2010.  Here is what they came up with -

 March 27, Easter Egg Hunt

This will take place!  See the article on the front page.

April 24, Community Yard Sale

This will take place!  See the article on the front page.

May 14, Movie Night

A projector and screen are needed.  If you are willing to loan yours twice this summer, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  This was a popular event in the past and the committee would love to bring it back!

June 5, Pool Opening Party

More will be written on this and future events listed below as the dates draw closer.

August 6, Ice Cream Social and a Movie

Again, this is tentative until a projector and screen are found.

Mid-August, just before school begins - Kindergarten Meet & Greet (TBD)

This event is held on a Saturday morning before school begins.  It allows the little ones starting kindergarten to meet their classmates before school begins.  A craft and snack are provided.

September 11 - Pool Closing Party

October 9 - Community Yard Sale

November 6 - Fall Hay Ride

This is a tentative event while the committee seeks out a vendor.  The plan is to ride around the neighborhood, perhaps sing songs, then have light refreshments at the pool.

December 11 - Breakfast with Santa

Photo opportunity with Santa!

Speed Tables! Print E-mail
Written by Amanda Rosso
Friday, 05 March 2010 18:56
If you attended the annual meeting, you were told about our continuing efforts to possibly install speed tables within our community. Thanks to the volunteer efforts of 5 amazing residents along with board member, Amanda Rosso, we are hoping to collect all of the signatures we need by April 1st, 2010. Each volunteer was "assigned" 4-5 streets within the community, so over the next couple of weeks you just might get a knock on your door asking for a signature! If for some reason you havent been contacted by April 1st and would like to sign the petition, please contact Amanda at 803-431-6343.Keep in mind if we get enough signatures, it doesnt guarantee that we will automatically get them. The county will then determine if our community is a candidate for speed tables and if so, how many are needed and where they are placed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the board of directors.

Identifying Trash Cans Print E-mail
Written by Amanda Rosso
Tuesday, 23 February 2010 18:14
As you ride through the community on any given Saturday, you are bound to see numerous garbage cans that are still left out. In trying to enforce our rules and regulations for trash can violations, we have found that it is difficult in some instances to identify who that trash can belongs to-especially in the town home section. In order to effectively manage this, we have decided that placing the house number on the trash can and/or recycling bin will help us to correctly identify which resident the trash can belongs to.  This will ensure that the correct resident receives notice if their trash can is left out past dusk on the day of pick up.What does this mean? Over the next couple of weeks, your trash can will now have your house number on it.  If you have any suggestions on how to better manage this process, or any other, please feel free to contact the board of directors. We look forward to your feedback on how to make this community a better place to live :)
